Should work in a horror or drama flash

'Nuff said. Keep it up! ^_^

ShaggyWang responds:

Well thats a thought.

Thank you !!

I didn't feel it...

...and by that, I meant I didn't feel like I was up in the clouds.

If you were trying to go for that "adventure up in the skies" feel, keep the drums, add a bass line that runs along with the drums, and keep the high-pitch instruments thin.

If you were trying the "floating" feeling, remove the drums, use cymbals only (light taps only; heavy crashes give the feeling of disorder), and play with panning and, again, keep the high-pitch instruments thin.

Hope this helped. ^_^

ShaggyWang responds:

Point taken and thank you for the review

Awesome!

This is just mind-blowing and downright amazing! It's perfect! Cyril did a kick-ass job with the vocals as well. Awesome, awesome stuff! :-o

Rig responds:

It just REEKS of muffiny goodness doesn't it?
Thanks for the review! :D

Soothing... I like!

Kinda has that Acid Jazz feel into it. Groovy and relaxing at the same time, without a hint of getting me bored, even after 3 reruns.

Is there anything wrong? Can't find any. Length? Nah... I can loop it and it's still chillin'.

Awesome groove! 5 and 10. ^_^

LJCoffee responds:

Thanks jnry3,

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed this track!

Needs a little tweak at the EQ

Maybe a little nudge off the overall EQ treble (+2dB at high frequencies... I'm guessing at around 10kHz) will make those high-note keys (I want to call them "star bits") come out. The star bits are hiding (or rather drowned) behind the bass (which is very deep and full-bodied). Just give it a try if you have time.

Hope this helps. ^_^ Nice piece, by the way!

attemptedperfection responds:

Thanks much for the review!
I did a lil eq tweaking, and it seems to have helped out quite a bit with the clarity... see, I have weird speakers/headphones, so frequencies are difficult for me... it takes playing it on a car stereo or something to realize what needs changing. Too bad I couldn't tweak it before the contest deadline... ah well. :/

Nice, but...

...there's a lot of off-hits. Annoyed me, actually. But no worries... it's easily fixable with practice.

A nice piece to listen to, nevertheless. :-) Hope you can make a cleaner version.

Oh... there's also some background high-frequency static that comes in everytime you play the guitar, FYI. ;-)

FrozenSheep responds:

Its my crap amp.

Now that's the sh**!

...if you only had better recording equipment. But I like the raw appeal of it, and it's a live recording. If you got the budget, try recording this in a studio. That would be cool. ^_^

MittT responds:

We're on it, dude!

Seriously.

Our guitarist's dad has access to a studio for free.

No wonder I didn't join MAC...

I knew I'd hear something like this. Incredible piece. Never felt boring at any part (which most pieces fail to do).

It feels awesome listening to -- relaxing and rushing at the same time.

This should belong to the top of MAC, hands down. ^_^

Rig responds:

Lol, thanks! I won't get my hopes up TOO much, but I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

Mix is treble-y...

...and it sounds very thin on my Sennheisers (which means it'll sound thinner on other speakers).

Try adding bass to the final mix's EQ. If that doesn't work (which, I guess, will be the case), tear it apart, and boost your bass guitar (it's hiding).

Other than that, it's a great cover! ^_^

DarKsidE555 responds:

WTF!? D:

All others audio artists I showed it so far say it's much deeper than before!? >:/

Fucking mastering shit. D:<

Ah the hell with it! lolz. Thanks for checking man!
